Men's Ministries

IMF - Immanuel Men's Fellowship (part of Lutheran Hour Ministries Men's Network) Good morning, Mr. Hunt. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves joining other men in the local area for homemade breakfast, Bible study, friendship, accountability and growing as brothers in Christ. This ongoing mission occurs for approximately 2.5 hours the first Saturday of each month at Immanuel First Lutheran Church and third Wednesday of the same at the home of a local IMF member. As always, should you fail to arrive in time for breakfast, the congregation shall disavow all responsibility for your rumbling tummy. This message will self destruct in five seconds. And Mr. Hunt, it would be a good idea right now to take off these sunglasses--click here.

Women's Ministries

LWML LogoLWML - Lutheran Women's Missionary League The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is the official women's auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman's relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.

The mission of the LWML is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.

Immanuel First's local LWML group serves as our women's fellowship and hosts a monthly Bible study the first Saturday of every month at church.

Prayer Ministries
Prayer Chain
For members, Immanual First maintains an active prayer chain for emergency issues. Prayers are spread throughout the congregation by phone calls. The prayer chain can be activated by calling Mrs. Bobbe Hotz 626-919-1530.

If you are interested in participating in this vital ministry by becoming a "link" in the prayer chain, please contact Mrs. Hotz.
Sunday Prayers
God has promised to hear our prayers, for Jesus sake.

The prayer needs of the entire world is the concern of the congregation at Immanuel First. Prayer requests, assembled weekly by members, are lifted up in prayer by the entire congregation during Sunday Worship.

Missionaries we support

God has called these special people to leave their homes and go out into the world to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. It is our desire to be part of that ministry by supporting them. Please keep them in prayer. If you would like to support them financially please contact the Church Office at 626-919-1530 info@immanuelfirst.org. Some missionaries serve in sensitive areas and have asked that their names not be published.(Keep them in prayer also. God knows their names.)
